OPTION 2

NFZA Recognized Schools

To establish a Foot Zone School recognized by the National Foot Zone Association (NFZA), adhere to the following requirements

Guidelines for NFZA-Recognized Foot Zone Schools

  • Affiliation & Certification: The school and its graduates must be affiliated with an organization recognized by the Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL)

  • Defined Scope of Practice: Establish a clear and specific scope of practice for the Foot Zone curriculum.

  • Anatomy & Physiology Course: Include a comprehensive course in anatomy and physiology.

  • Minimum Instructional Hours: Provide at least 200 hours of instruction, which may include in-person classes, videos, and online coursework.

  • Certification Exam: Require students to pass a standardized certification exam.

  • Code of Ethics: Implement a mandatory code of ethics for students and graduates.

  • Oversight of Graduates: Ensure active oversight to confirm graduates

    adhere to legal standards and maintain good standing in the industry, facilitated through NFZA membership.

  • Continuing Education: Require ongoing education, which may be fulfilled through NFZA conferences or school-provided programs.

Certified Member qualifies as a Certified Foot Zone Practitioner who does not hold a license for touch in any other therapy. This membership qualifies one to practice the profession of Foot Zoning legally in the state of Utah.
